Biggest Tata Motors Price Drop: Save Up to ₹1.45 Lakh on Popular Cars Post-GST Reform

Tata Motors Slashes Car Prices by Up to ₹1.45 Lakh Following GST Tax Cuts

Tata Motors has announced a significant price reduction across its car and SUV lineup, passing on the full benefits of recent GST reforms to customers. Effective September 22, 2025, buyers can expect savings of up to ₹1.45 lakh on popular Tata vehicles, just in time for the festive season.

Why Are Tata Motors Reducing Prices?
The GST Council recently revised the tax structure for automobiles, reducing GST rates from 28% to 18% for small cars and motorcycles under 350cc. This reform aims to make personal mobility more affordable and boost automobile sales. Tata Motors is responding by lowering prices on its passenger vehicles to reflect these tax savings directly to buyers.

Price Cuts Across Popular Tata Models
The price reductions vary by model, making Tata’s cars and SUVs more accessible across segments:
Tiago: Price cut up to ₹75,000
Tigor: Price cut up to ₹80,000
Altroz: Price cut up to ₹1.10 lakh
Punch: Price cut up to ₹85,000
Nexon: Price cut up to ₹1.55 lakh
Curvv: Price cut up to ₹65,000
Harrier: Price cut up to ₹1.40 lakh
Safari: Price cut up to ₹1.45 lakh
Customers are encouraged to visit authorized Tata Motors showrooms to confirm exact prices for specific variants.
Impact on Buyers and the Market
With these price cuts, Tata Motors is making car ownership more attainable, especially for first-time buyers and those aiming to upgrade during the upcoming festive season. The company expects a surge in demand,

urging customers to book their preferred vehicles early.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata

Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., stated, “This GST reduction is a timely and progressive move aligned with the government’s vision to make personal mobility affordable. Tata Motors is committed to passing on the full benefit to customers, enhancing accessibility across vehicle segments.”

What This Means for the Automotive Sector
The GST reform simplifies the tax structure on automobiles, which is expected to revive sales amid previous slowdowns. Tata Motors’ price alignment with the new tax regime places it at the forefront of affordable mobility innovation in India.
